  1. Aztec Camera – Walk Out to Winter
In the dictionary next to jangly pop. Brings a smile. Wondering if they were a bit of a one-hit-wonder – Oblivious from this album being the hit. Their catalog is well worth a dig – as are Roddy Frame’s solo endeavors.

De La Soul & Teenage Fanclub – Fallin’
An unexpected collab – a fan of both with a heavy tilt to Teenage Fanclub. Fun: “Oscar Goldman got mad ’cause I got loose circuits”
Grooves nicely. Not hearing enough TF, but that’s a nitpick. A good time.
Looked it up and found that the chorus was sampled from TP’s “Free Fallin'” – Did not hear that.

  2. “Walk Out to Winter” / Aztec Camera. Jazzy pop with a soaring chorus. A seasonal reverie, with perambulation. That’s one busy rhythm guitar player. Really works.

“Fallin'” / De La Soul and Teenage Fanclub. A chill, seemingly effortless groove, with quippy, slightly wistful lyrics. I don’t know a ton of DLS but like most of what I’ve heard. I dig the build with added guitar that starts around 2:35. Saw Ed’s note about “Free Fallin'” sample, which I also would not have caught. And is the “baby!” sampled from “You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling”? A track that takes its time and explores all the playful angles, and at the end simply turns into a party.

  3. “Walk Out To Winter” by Aztec Camera: the guitar work throughout and the companion bass riding beside her was just right. The chorus made me think of Christmas and the song from Band Aid – “Do They Know It’s Christmas?…for really know good reason that I am consciously aware of (I’ll discuss with my therapist). Positive, bright vibe …..enjoyed.

“Fallin’”by De La Soul & the Teenage Fanclub: this really reminded me of Arrested Development…wondering if there is a relation or is the timeframe/genre overlapped? Regardless, I love the one Arrested Development album I had (perhaps still have…I will look at opportunity) and I thought this song was better than fine….dragged a wee bit at the end though
