FM – One O’Clock Tomorrow
I love the sound of this one. I plugged in my Sennheiser studio monitor headphones and was rewarded with a rich and vibrant mix that juxtaposes with the cold and stillness of the journey described. The lead-in between parts heightens anticipation – Where are we going next?!
“One O’Clock Tomorrow”/FM. Don’t know this group, but this puts me in the mind of ’70s Yes, with the spacey synths, nods to classical stylings (rounds) and rubber-limbed rhythm section. Very pleasant, and on the concise side of prog. FM? No static at all!

On SoundCloud I am impressed by artists I know who can form up songs all from their phone or Ipad. The front end if this reminds me of that. The song then moves into a fun progish journey into the ether with bigger/traditional prog rock instrumental goodies.Good stuff and now also wondering if the band name pays homage to early FM synthesis techniques. First thought album name was black nose..glad to learn later I read it wrong 😉

On a subsequent listen I noticed that the chimes dance between channels and seem to be playing joyfully around my head.

Love the Steeley Dan reference
