DM – CLASSIC. I believe I was in 7th grade when Punk Rock Girl debuted on MTV. A friend of mine was a Skater and made a cassette for me. They were like Weird Al, but cooler. I have enjoyed almost every song they have done. I totally forgot about this song being I don’t feel it stands out like some of the others, but overall still enjoyable.
The Dead Milkmen – Right Wing Pigeons
I remember liking Big Lizard in My Backyard, but totally forgot about this track as well. From outer space, huh… that would explain a few things -perhaps MTG has had some firsthand experience with the Jewish space lasers. Seems evergreen. Musically, gotta love that galloping bass line.
Dead Milkman- Philly Boys! I am preferential to Bitchin’ Camaro and If you love somebody set them on fire, but this gives me a taste of that. It’s straight ahead, accessible, garage punk. Now I find myself humming “Love Is a drug”. Interesting. Probably that frolicking bass line at work.
What could make her think that way, what could make her act that way? The vocal cadence has a certain juvenile delivery works. This feels like a thrown together at the last minute garage band jam. Bass keeps it driving forward. College Rockish. Fun but nothing that sticks with me
