Motels – I know I have heard of this group. but couldn’t tell you what they sing. It fits right in with Patty Smith, and Blondie, possibly some Joan Jett. I like it

Hadn’t heard this one in quite a while. I can hear the seeds of ‘Take the “L” Out of Lover’ here. I’m also reminded of 80s-era Split Enz (I Got You). Ooh, that little descending “trill” of synth (modulated?) reminds me of the end of 20/20’s “Yellow Pills” leading in to “Cheri.” I am more than okay with this track – maybe love.
“The Days Are OK …”/Motels. Nice li’l bop. I don’t have a deep knowledge of their catalogue but their radio hits are a fond memory from high school days. Actually never heard this one before, but am glad I have now.

by Motels: When I listen to the Motels it is usually “Only the Lonely” or “Suddenly Last Summer” (1983). Really enjoyed hearing another song. This one did not rival the two but delivered enough juice to make me smile and play it again.
