“Two Weeks In Spain” by Gentle Giant

The bass, kick and guitar sort of pop together in a precise, tight, and frenetic glorious firework of joy and then the keys and organ introduce themselves and Blam! Wham! Batman…some magic occurs.

“There is No Time” by Lou Reed
Submitted by Bill
Cranky old Lou unloads on a litany of societal ills and all the things we might be doing that … wouldn’t help. It’s from his quite topical 1989 album “New York,” and some of the references on that LP are dated now … but most aren’t, and this track in particular retains all its put-up-or-shut up urgency as driven by a thundering twin-guitar attack.
