Very 80’s – a lot going on in this song, so much so that I can get it onto paper. There’s a touch of Caribbean island sound jumping out occasionally. Some Copa Cabana flair. A little funk like rhythm on the guitar. it all seems to work together. You just want to get up and dance
Aztec Camera – All I Need Is Everything
Have loved this track since I first heard it back in the day. Never really examined it before – just enjoying the sunny sound and not realizing the deepness of the lyrics. I consciously stayed away from the word “need” when considering selections for this round – separating it from a want, but the yearning is literally in this one. They had me with the vibes and delivered everything I want from one of their tracks. Luscious!
“All I Need Is Everything”/Aztec Camera. Nice combo of a stuttering, Motown-ish riff with the Latino keys and percussion, and that soaring melody. “I wish myself into your arms,; at song’s end the love remains unrequited. Surely you could get yourself a girl (or guy) with a tune like this.
Believe I have been introduced to this song or the album it resides on before through the myFive forum and it is a keeper and bullseyes the theme. I see the synth plays the xylophone and suspect some of that intricate hyper-fast guitar pluck may be a synth midi arp or just an impressive guitar delay. Neither one of those observations takes away from the song one iota , just a personal interest to me
