  1. The Producers – She Sheila
As the summer wanes, this is a great soundtrack addition to embrace what’s left of it. From the interplay of the keyboards in the intro to the bridge that excitingly leads into the final section – an air-instrument workout!

The Who – Love Reign O’er Me
Now we’re amping up the drama. Only the quality of The Who could make this bombast work. It could be over-the-top, but it’s just power and majesty. At times subtly melodic – usually just before the wave crashes. Glad this was second in this week’s offerings.

  2. “She Sheila”/The Producers. Good one. Love the teasing extended intro before the beat really kicks in. Memorable chorus and exceptional dreamy middle part. And those bg vox! “Ooo-OOO-ooo.”

“Love Reign O’er Me”/ The Who. The “Quadrophenia” album closer is one of Pete’s biggest statements, musically as well as lyrically, and that’s saying something. Also one of Roger’s signature vocals — really just great ensemble playing all around, from the kettle drums in the intro and slowly descending lead guitar line to Daltrey’s second most famous scream. All in stately 6/8 time!

  3. “She Sheila” by The Producers: a lovely bright pop tune with a captivating sound and infectious flow and feel that culminate in the word wonderful rolling off my tongue. Great Track. Ooo ooo oo

“Love Reign O’er Me” by The Who: The Who always have such muscle…even in the more classical sounding intro storm and strings…it foreshadowed some big bass, Vox and drums to come down stream…hit the spot
