““Too Much Time on My Hands” by Styx
Submitted by Ian

This song just rocks. Need to get up and move around when I hear it. I was never a big Styx fan, hated mr. roboto, but my love of Adam Sandler movies has shown me the way.

“Winterlong” by Neil Young
Submitted by Bill

Considering the past with rue, experiencing the present with longing, and looking to the future with pre-emptive wistfulness are all stock-in-trades for Mr. Young, and all much in evidence in this stellar deep cut. “Come back now, come back now.” The multiple versions out there include a studio take, but this version is the one I heard first, so I’m going with it.

“Cause = Time” by Broken Social Scene
Submitted by Dave

If I submitted this already in an earlier round then I am providing you all an opportunity to listen to it again ; ). I have limited songs in my actual real (owned cloud) repository and when I searched on “time” this song emerged and I smiled and said “oh yea”.

“In a Second” by Yachts
Submitted by Ed

One of the few (Proud? Yes, Brave: ?) that have both Yachts albums in their original vinyl incarnation. Scratched that New Wave itch and, of course, the idea that I was part of the “elite”, in-the-know fandom made it extra special. They also had a good sense of humor (see song The Yachting Type).

“Another Day” by Paul McCartney
Submitted by Alan

From Ram. I love the quiet warmth of this song and its casualness. Almost conversational. It’s got a sneaky bass part. Great acoustic guitar. It evokes a mood that is comforting.
